Our small payroll team is responsible for paying hundreds of employees of dozens of companies on a variety of pay cycles - so we need someone who has superior attention to detail, strong customer service orientation and communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple payrolls at once. We provide a great benefits package, including: fully-paid medical/dental/vision premiums for the employee plus 50% paid for dependent premiums; 401(k); and long-term disability and life insurance.<BR>The Payroll Specialist reports to our Director of Finance and Operations and works closely with our payroll, benefits and accounting staff.<BR>Responsibilities will include:<BR>* Processing payrolls for clients on bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly cycles - accurately, completely, and timely<BR>* Analyzing, preparing, and inputting data relating to payroll into our business system<BR>* Running reports from the system and manipulating and analyzing data in Microsoft Excel<BR>* Performing basic accounting procedures related to payroll and benefits<BR>* Responding to employee/client inquiries in a timely and professional manner<BR>* Reviewing and resolving errors from payroll edit reports<BR>* Preparing and submitting retirement plan reports for plan administrators<BR>Required Experience:<BR><BR>The successful candidate will have:<BR>* 3-5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years of full cycle payroll processing experience, preferably in high volume multi-company environment.<BR>* Associate''s degree in accounting is preferred<BR>* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and payroll systems (we will train on our payroll/benefits/accounting system)<BR>* The ability and desire to provide responsive customer service to internal and external clients (in person, over the phone, and via email)<BR>* Strong detail orientation with aptitude for problem-solving<BR>* The ability to perform calculations with speed and accuracy<BR>* The ability and desire to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships within the team and the firm as a whole<BR>Keyword: payroll, multi-state<BR>From: HRnovations </font></td>
