In addition to wetland delineations field staff will be responsible for collecting basic data on stream morphology and condition according to protocols that we will provide. Additional field information to be collected will include general habitat mapping. Candidates must be able to work long hours 5 to 6 days per week to enable us to complete our task in a timely manner. We will provide reimbursement for meals, lodging, and vehicle expenses. This will be an intensive, short-term job and successful candidates will be paired with permanent staff in the field. Delineate wetlands, map wetland locations on field map and using GPS. Record information on streams such as type of substrate, slope, ordinary high water location, presence of woody debris, and riparian habitat with extensive use of mobile GPS unit as the data collection device. Field verify land use mapping that was originally conducted in the office. Record and maintain detailed and legible field notes. Complete standardized wetland and stream data sheets. Take photographs and maintain photographic record of wetlands and streams. Self-perform quality control on a daily basis.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Please contact Ashlee Dictor for more information.<BR><BR>Duties<BR>Qualifications: <BR><BR><BR><BR>Bachelors degree in Biology, Ecology required<BR><BR><BR><BR>Experience and knowledge in Pacific Northwest plant identification is essential.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Candidates will be certified Professional Wetland Scientists or have equivalent experience with certifications in Washington.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Experience using Trimble GPS units is desirable as most data will be recorded on the mobile device.
