OSD executes its strategy through ongoing product and brand development, partnerships and acquisitions.<BR><BR>We are seeking a Sr. Finance Manager to play a key role on the Ad Platform R&D leadership team. Online Advertising is one of the fastest growing businesses on the Internet today, with $40 billion of a $600 billion advertising market already online. Microsoft is innovating rapidly to grow its share of this market by providing the advertising industry with a world-class online advertising platform and service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the most strategic and growing teams at Microsoft.<BR><BR>Core to this position is driving the overall financial rhythm & controllership, and management of a large annual operating budget. You will be comfortable in a wide range of settings, from presenting to senior leaders, to holding the business accountable to financial commitments, to coaching financial fundamentals to non-finance audience. This position will require a combination of strong organization, prioritization and communication skills, in addition to the ability to understand and tie into the strategy of OSD.<BR><BR>Core Job Responsibilities:<BR>Business Partnering & Financial Controllership - Serve as a single point of contact to your R&D business partners. Proactively engage with business partners and finance teams on all controllership issues (Close, Monthly Business Reviews, Restatements, Trend analysis, Budget, Forecast, as well as ad-hoc decision support). Provide valued business insight that helps decision makers more effectively manage their business for higher return.<BR><BR>Budgeting & Forecasting - Work with key stakeholders to create accurate forecasts. Incorporate P&L insight into the forecasting process and identify cost efficacy opportunities. Review and gain sign off for quarterly forecasts from management & business partners.<BR>Financial Modeling & Decision Support - Assist cross-functional teams to evaluate and/or perform financial analysis of potential new business, cost savings & scenario modeling opportunities.
