Are you ready to join the excitement? <BR><BR>Job Description:<BR>SQL Server Database Engineer<BR>Description:<BR>Activities to be performed:<BR>• Operations:<BR>o SQL Data Engine: indexing; performance; manage permissions.<BR>o Integration Services: package execution; suggest optimizations.<BR>o Analysis Services: data refresh; manage permissions; performance; suggest optimizations.<BR>o Reporting Services: manage permissions; manage content; execution; suggest optimizations.<BR>o SQL Jobs: execution; suggest optimizations.<BR>o Execute documented routine manual processes required by the system (i.e. manually launch package execution when needed).<BR>• Support/Troubleshooting:<BR>o Investigate root cause of user’s reports of incidents with data or processes (RS, AS, DES views).<BR>o Reply to requests for information.<BR>o Follow troubleshooting guides, and assist on their creation/improvement.<BR>o Escalate or involve other teams as appropriate to solve/respond to reported incidents and/or user’s requests for information.<BR>• MSIT processes:<BR>o Use of ITSM ticketing system, process, and procedures.<BR>o Receive support requests, drive support tickets.<BR>o Investigate reported issues, keep ticket records.<BR>o Follow troubleshooting guides, collaborate on their generation/improvement.<BR>o Ensure resolution of issues, close records.<BR>o Suggest optimizations to Dev team based on support issues.<BR>• Development of RS and/or RB reports (Reporting Services/Report Builder) and/or Excel based reports.<BR><BR><BR>Skills Needed<BR>• SQL Server 2012, in particular for BI solutions:<BR>o SQL Data Engine: indexing; partitioning; performance.<BR>o Integration Services: package optimization (for ETL).<BR>o Analysis Services: Multidimensional cubes AND Tabular models.<BR>o Reporting Services: both, SSRS and Report Builder.<BR>o SQL Jobs: scheduling.<BR>• ITSM process (for support ticketing, escalations, etc as part of normal MSIT processes).<BR>• Participate on deployments to production.<BR>• Assist on generating appropriate documentation.<BR>• (A plus): Some Development of RS and/or RB reports (Reporting Services/Report Builder) and/or Excel based reports.<BR><BR><BR>If you possess the desired skills, are results-oriented, and desire working for a rapidly growing company, we’d love to hear from you. <BR><BR>Please send your cover letter, resume and salary requirements to careers@axelerate.com<BR><BR>Axelerate offers Equal Employment Opportunity to all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, political ideology, or any other classification protected by law.</font></td>
