The Cash and Revenue Accounting team is responsible for Expedia's global accounting processes and reporting. Core areas of responsibility will be to manage the credit card and cash accounting for Expedia's major brands worldwide and to facilitate the implementation of new payment methods in various world wide points of sale. The Sr. Accounting Manager will lead a team of four professional accountants and work with many internal customers across the Expedia brands worldwide.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Responsibilities:<BR><BR>-Manage the month end close functions for the Cash Accounting team and oversee journal entries and account reconciliations.<BR><BR>-Prepare, summarize, and communicate financial results.<BR><BR>-Develop, guide, and lead a team of professional accountants. Assess individual performance, provide developmental feedback, and conduct periodic performance assessments.<BR><BR>Work collaboratively with various business partners throughout Expedia’s worldwide organization.<BR><BR>-Eventually, serve as a subject matter expert for a variety of large, cross-functional projects and team with project managers to provide business requirements. Additionally, the Sr. Accounting Manager will design and implement processes for new points of sale or customer payment methods. <BR><BR>-Coordinate with both external and internal auditors to complete financial audits and SOX testing.<BR><BR>-Establish and maintain accounting practices in accordance with GAAP and ensure a strong internal control environment exists.
