That''s why we''re here. <BR><BR>Senior Accounting Policy Manager<BR>The Senior Accounting Policy Manager is responsible for supporting T-Mobile''s accounting and finance organization to help ensure compliance with both U.S. GAAP and IFRS. This person will work closely with members of Accounting, the broader Finance organization and the business in supporting T-Mobile initiatives and communicating their accounting treatment. <BR><BR>Primary Duties and Responsibilities<BR>*Documenting, researching and resolving technical accounting issues under both US and international accounting standards, including complex issues<BR>*Working with finance and accounting teams and directly with the business when appropriate to review new concepts, draft and final contracts for proper accounting treatment and communicating issues including suggestions for changes to achieve desired treatment.<BR>*Documenting and updating Company accounting policies<BR>*Monitoring and communicating relevant information regarding emerging accounting standards; and assistance in implementing new standards as appropriate<BR>*Liaising with external auditors and parent company (IFRS) Accounting Policy team and on complex accounting matters<BR>*Periodic training to update finance and accounting staff on new and emerging accounting standards<BR><BR>!*!Functional/Technical Skills<BR>*Strong GAAP knowledge and research skills; similar IFRS skills a plus<BR>*Ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting issues<BR>*Excellent oral and written communication skills<BR>*Ability to communicate and advocate accounting positions<BR>*Ability to provide training to others on accounting issues (e.g., emerging and new pronouncements)<BR>*Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment<BR>*Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks with cross-functional teams<BR>*Proven ability to work cross-functionally and to support required positions under scrutiny<BR>*Ability to work independently, with ability to identify when escalation is appropriate<BR>*Experience in complex leasing, asset and revenue accounting issues a plus <BR><BR>Experience <BR>*6+ years of progressive experience in technical GAAP research, interpretation, documentation and communication; similar IFRS experience a plus.
