We are searching for a Senior Analyst, Transport Competitiveness in the Global Transport team at Expedia. This position is a critical and influential role that ensures Expedia presents the best and most competitive air prices and options to consumers globally.<BR><BR>The successful candidate must be a dedicated analyst, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic environment. This individual must have good communications skills and be able to work with different stakeholders across different levels in the organization spanning the globe, and consistently update the management with status updates.<BR><BR>Role:To assist in the generation, analysis and dissemination of Competitiveness metrics globally. <BR><BR>Responsibilities<BR>• Working on global roll out of Air & Package competitiveness metrics within Expedia<BR>• Working with 3rd party vendors in identifying data requirements and in testing/ auditing for data quality<BR>• Working with the cross-functional team to ensure competitiveness issues are appropriately resolved<BR>• Providing regular reporting commentary to business based on competitiveness metrics<BR>• Conducting ad hoc reporting and competitive analysis to support business needs<BR><BR>Qualifications<BR>• 2+ years of related experience preferably at an ecommerce, technology or travel related company <BR>• Bachelors Degree with an interest in data analysis, business operations or project management <BR>• Strong organizational skills – ability to work with people and drive collaboration and project management<BR>• Strong multi-tasking skills – ability to deal with multiple issues together, with little need of supervision or prioritization<BR>• Basic understanding of the Air and GDS worlds, ability to search for fares on GDS is a plus<BR>• Ability to build effective presentations<BR>• Familiarity manipulating data in Excel using pivot tables and writing formulas<BR>• Experience with Reporting Tools such as Business Objects<BR>• Experience extracting data running SQL queries - no query writing required<BR><BR><BR>About Expedia, Inc.<BR><BR>Our mission is to revolutionize travel through the power of technology.<BR><BR>Collectively, the Expedia, Inc. brands cover virtually every aspect of researching, planning, and booking travel, from choosing the best airplane seat, to reading personal travel reviews of hotels, to planning what to do in a destination once you arrive.
