Then the Air Transportation Technology team at Expedia is looking for you!<BR><BR>Expedia&rsquo;s Air Transportation Technologies team is is looking for a talented Database Developer capable of designing and implementing server software that powers our booking and fulfillment systems. These systems are mission critical and have high throughput. This means that developers on our team must have a solid understanding of physical schema design, SQL Server features, and SQL Server internals to achieve success.<BR><BR>We are looking for a highly competent technical individual who can design, build, and deliver products that help Expedia achieve the ambitious business objectives we have committed to. A successful Senior Database Developer dives into the details of our solutions, generates and vets ideas with others on the team, and takes on end-to-end ownership of systems along with Test, PM, Architectural, and Operations peers. You will be responsible for the design, schedule, and quality of your projects.<BR><BR>Responsibilities:<BR><BR>&bull; Design, analyze, develop and deploy database components for one or more projects.<BR>&bull; Play an active role in all aspects of application development.<BR>&bull; Allocate time to meet operating objectives.<BR>&bull; Be the technical lead on projects as necessary.<BR>&bull; Become someone who is sought out as a Subject Matter Expert; be a product-wide advocate for quality coding.<BR>&bull; Design, spec, schedule and provide quality implementation for mid to large size projects that have high visibility.<BR>&bull; Accept assignments that are important/complicated, that directly impact customer experience, and that support strategic initiatives of the brand or business unit.<BR>&bull; Find creative, practical ways to improve software quality across the team, including defining and promoting engineering best practices.<BR>&bull; Independently develop an understanding of schedule and cost constraints, and the project's impact on other teams; Make resource and architectural trade-offs based on these factors.<BR>&bull; Anticipate and prevent problems before they occur; present technical issues and their impact to management.<BR>&bull; Learn quickly, master our existing systems and identify opportunities for improvement<BR>&bull; Effectively build and maintains a network of key contacts across company and leverage these contacts to achieve results; demonstrate proficiency in most areas of the professional function and specialization in some. <BR>&bull; Quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization's applications, tools, programming languages, and systems.<BR>&bull; Mentor other developers on the team                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  </font></td>
