The Revenue Accounting group is responsible for Expedia?s global revenue accounting and reporting which includes managing the accounting processes for merchant payable, breakage and adjustments. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation of basic accounting and systems, but also be interested in helping implement new products or process improvements. Core areas of responsibility will be heavily focused on supporting merchant payable and breakage analysis.<BR><BR>Responsibilities:<BR>? Prepare journal entries and analyses<BR>? Participate in month-end processes, including reporting and reconciliations of accounts associated with certain revenue streams as well as presenting at monthly brand close meetings and/or FP&A meeting<BR>? Coordinate and communicate with business management and FP&A to support their detailed understanding of revenue financial results <BR>? Communicate summaries of accounting processes/findings to business owners and FP&A.<BR>? Coordinate with both external and internal auditors to complete financial audits and SOX testing<BR>? Work with project managers to develop requirements, accounting models and reporting for new products or programs<BR>? Work on non routine projects-such as process reengineering or improvements ,cross functional projects, material reconciliation problems, system implementation or creating processes for new points of sale, products or programs<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR>Work Experience:<BR>? 5+ years accounting experience preferably in a large growth oriented international organization or high tech company<BR>Education:<BR>? BS degree in Accounting<BR>? CPA/CMA preferred<BR>Other:<BR>? Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, functions) as well as the ability to work with large amounts of data.<BR>? Strong Microsoft Access and Powerpoint and Visio skills desired .<BR>? Experience with Peoplesoft (GL, Query and nVision) and Business Objects preferred, but not required.<BR>? Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience presenting to various levels helpful.<BR>? Experience implementing new products and processes.<BR>? Demonstrated ability to learn processes quickly, help streamline processes and/or set up new processes related to new business initiatives, products or points of sale.<BR>? Revenue accounting experience including exposure to revenue recognition principles and foreign exchange helpful.<BR>? Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional network outside immediate group to ensure strong "customer" focus.<BR>?
