Before you  begin, please print out the job announcement; you may need to refer to it while completing the application.<BR><BR><BR>Accounting - Non-Tenure Track Faculty Vacancy Pool<BR><BR><BR>About the Position:The Department of Accounting maintains a vacancy pool of qualified persons interested in temporary teaching.?In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, applications are accepted continuously for temporary non-tenure track teaching on a part-time basis with occasional opportunities for temporary full-time appointments.?Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.<BR><BR>About the Department:The College of Business and Economics provides high quality programs in business and economics at the undergraduate and graduate level.?The Department of Accounting supports the college mission by teaching introductory courses for all CBE students.?The Department has approximately 250 undergraduate majors and 20 masters students.?Instructors generally teach introductory level courses with enrollments of approximately 75 students per section but may have opportunities to teach upper division courses that are significantly smaller.?<BR>Position Responsibilities:The department, college and University value teaching, and we expect you to be an excellent teacher; to be current in your discipline; to engage students actively I their own learning including discussion, writing, and analysis; and to set high standards regarding course content.?You are expected to provide students with feedback on their coursework and examinations, and to be available to students through regularly scheduled office hours in keeping with department policy.?You must have your students evaluate your course(s) using the standard University evaluation forms, or others approved by the provost, and you must make those evaluations available to the department chairs and faculty for annual review.?<BR>Required Qualifications:Academic qualification under AACSB standards, or an appropriate Master?s degree and professional certification in Accounting combined with appropriate professional experience which would, in the judgment of the department, provide professional qualification under AACSB standards.<BR>Preferred Qualifications:<BR>* Earned doctorate in accounting<BR>* Experience teaching a variety of accounting classes<BR>* Experience working with diverse students and staff<BR>Academic Emphasis:Accounting<BR>Job Location:Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA<BR><BR>Salary:Commensurate with experience and qualifications<BR><BR>Bargaining Union:United Faculty of Western Washington<BR><BR>Application Instructions and Requested Documents:Please log in below and submit your application via WWU?s Electronic Application System for Employment (EASE).?Note:?You will need to be                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         </font></td>
