This position performs evaluative work including the computing, comparing and reporting of data in support of reports, studies, surveys and forecasts. Prepares narrative reports to accompany data. Data is maintained in appropriate databases and online repositories. The Data Compiler works closely with the Director of Space Administration, the Academic Budget Office, and Institutional Research to compile comprehensive collections of resources across the academic division, including budgets, space utilization, student, and faculty data. The position reports to the Vice Provost for Academic Resources.<BR><BR>This position is part of a Washington Federation of State Employees bargaining unit.? New employees are required to meet the membership requirements of the current collective bargaining agreement within 30 calendar days.<BR><BR>About the Department:Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Resources<BR>Position Responsibilities:<BR>* Works with Space Administration, Academic Budget Office, and Institutional Research who will produce analyses of resources, both current and projected needs, across the Academic Division<BR>* Assists the Director of Space Administration to identify emergent campus space needs<BR>* Assists the VPAR, Director of Space Administration, and Director of Academic Budget Office with data collection and evaluation as needed<BR>* Maintains data in Banner and other databases<BR>* Monitors classroom condition and coordinates with operations & maintenance, ATUS, transport Services and other departments to ensure that classroom condition is maintained<BR>* Performs other work as required<BR>Required Qualifications:<BR>* Two year degree with a background in data collection and basic analysis, along with knowledge of and experience with the software tools to support such data collection and analysis or Bachelor?s degree including completion of at least one college level course in each of the following subjects: Statistics, Mathematics, and English composition<BR>* Knowledge of basic statistics, techniques for collecting, compiling and evaluating data; report writing<BR>* Ability to assess complex data and develop recommendations<BR>* Familiarity with database systems and Excel<BR>* Proficiency with the MS Office suite within a PC based environment<BR>* Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively<BR>* Ability to communicate to all levels of staff and manage effectively with difficult situations and to respond under pressure<BR>* Ability to move to various campus buildings during all weather </font></td>
