Hours are not guaranteed and assignments are based on the needs of the department. Work schedule is generally during the Monday through Friday workweek, 2-5 hours per day, up to 15 hours per week, during the academic year, September 2012 through June, 2013. All positions report to the Food Service Manager/Chef.<BR><BR>Position Available: FOOD SERVICE WORKER(S)$9.48/hour, no additional benefits. Perform routine work in cashiering, serving food and beverages, record keeping and inventory, and perform clean-up activities. May set up and balance till daily; Operate a ten-key machine or calculator; Cashier and serve food and beverage items; Make and serve beverages and soda fountain items; Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans and equipment; may operate dishwasher; Clean counters, refrigerators, beverage equipment, tables and chairs, condiment containers and napkin containers; May relieve or assist other employees in cashiering or higher level food preparation tasks to meet emergency or on-the-job training situations; May operate kitchen equipment; Complete routine record keeping tasks; Make and display product signs; Market deli counter in consultation and coordination with other food related department; May direct work of student trainees and part-time help; complete evaluations of student performance at the deli/espresso counter; Assist with food service consumable inventory maintenance; requisition for consumable supplies for deli/espresso counter; May assemble salads, sandwiches and desserts; and Perform related duties as required.<BR><BR>Cashiers in the lunchroom to assist during the 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. workday.<BR><BR>Baristas for cashier and counter help in the deli/bakeshop to assist during the 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. workday, or during the 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. workday.<BR><BR>Minimum& Essential Requirements & Physical Work Environment:Ability to operate a cash register and make change; run, balance, and close a cash register; ability to make decisions regarding deli counter stocking and goods ordering; possession of, or eligible for, a *food handlers permit. Positions require standing long periods; excellent customer service skills.<BR><BR>Position Available: COOK(S)$12.47/hour, no additional benefits. Scheduled during the 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., workday. Prepares and cooks food for college food services needs. Prepares and cooks vegetables, fruits, meats, soups, and sauces; prepares salads, desserts, and beverages; Cleans kitchen area; washes utensils and equipment; checks and stores food and kitchen supplies; keeps simple records; assists in preparing menus; Prepares meat, fish and fowl by baking, broiling, boiling, or frying, etc., according to standard recipes, menus, or verbal instructions; Operates cooking and kitchen equipment; Adjusts recipes to volume of demand; Inventorie </font></td>
