These UASs provide a no-runway launch, unprecedented stabilized day and night video for ISR, robotic flight control, and a no-nets capture. As we continue our rapid growth in the UAS/UAV market we are looking for experienced talent to help us achieve our goal of maintaining the agile and innovative problem-solving capabilities in all the products we offer. Opportunity Details: Primary Duties & Responsibilities: * Performs the design, layout, testing, and evaluation of Electronics Hardware products and systems * Performs product development activities, including drawing layout and interpretation, implementation of customer specifications, and documentation requirements * Utilizes computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks * Conducts engineering studies * Performs risk assessments and generates risk mitigation plans and strategies * May specialize in the field of electronics packaging with understanding of thermal design, General EMC/EMI hardening, Shock and Vibration, and general PCB design * May select and supervise the work of subcontractors / vendors to the organization * May be responsible for project reporting / coordination activities Knowledge - Skills & Abilities Required: * 10+ years of applicable Mechanical Engineering work experience. * 10+ years of Electronic Packaging related engineering skills including manufacturability from concept, testing to production * Has experience in cable harness design from initial implementation to manufacturing. * Has experience in thermal packaging design. * Candidates should also have experience with ISO9000 processes and procedures, creating documents such as drawings, work instructions, specifications, test procedures, and BOM's. Should be able to communicate effectively with individuals of various technical backgrounds and experiences. * Knowledge of FMEA techniques and implementation in both product design and manufacturing. * Leadership skills including; team-building, communication (written and verbal), interdepartmental diplomacy. * Required computer skills: 4+ years of SolidWorks and experience in 3D modeling, MS Office * Experience with electronic package design specific for UAV ground control systems desirable. * Knowledge of and experience using ASME/GD&T standards. * Experience designing/developing electronic packages to meet stringent requ </td>
