               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Responsibilities:<BR>The successful candidate will report to the Vice President of Chemistry and will coordinate strategy, testing, and development of novel anticancer small molecules, primarily for use as immunoconjugates. This position includes oversight of the synthetic chemistry efforts at Seattle Genetics, including design and development of highly potent anticancer drugs for targeted delivery, linker technologies that allow drugs to be attached to carrier molecules, and novel strategies for chemical modification of proteins to address key determinants in antibody drug conjugate biological activity.<BR><BR>Requirements:<BR>• A PhD in chemistry and 10 years of industry experience in the development of anticancer drugs is required<BR>• Additional experience in such areas as bioorganic chemistry, anticancer drug targeting, drug delivery, high throughput synthesis and screening, and computationally based drug modeling is necessary<BR>• The successful candidate: should possess a distinguished publication and patent record, be a clear communicator and effective manager, and should be able to interact and collaborate with other scientific disciplines.<BR><BR>Genetics is an equal opportunity employer<BR><BR>To apply for this position, please click on the following link:<BR>http://ch.tbe.taleo.net/CH09/ats/careers/requisition.jsp?org=SEAGEN&cws=1&rid=1120</font></td>
