Gather and process input from all disciplines that are involved in developing the functional requirements relating to physical design. Produce a physical design that meets the performance, cost and schedule goals of the project. Manage the implementation of the design from concept through production release to ensure that all physical goals are met. Investigate new technologies and suppliers to leverage the best available resources for future product needs as well as products in work. Key Responsibilities: • Translate requirements into executable mechanical development plans. • Implement mechanical designs using SolidWorks tools. • Participate in field studies for requirements development and design validation. • Work with suppliers to ensure manufacturability of designs. • Follow established standards for mechanical design methodologies, implementation, and documentation. • Participate in scheduling for Physical design activities. • Participate in development of system mechanical architecture. • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system. Preferred Skills / Qualifications: BSME or MSME Extensive experience in product development from conception to release.
