               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">This position performs tasks as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the Community and Supportive Services (CSS) Manager and the CSS Team. The role of this position is to provide and coordinate resident services and to administer grants while contributing to the overall effectiveness of the Housing Programs Department. This position maintains close, recurring contact with tenants, landlords and community partners in the process of administering the various housing programs which promote self sufficiency and to assure the fair, compassionate, and cost-effective provision of housing services to eligible citizens. <BR><BR>Work collaboratively with BHA staff to support resident self-sufficiency. Assist the CSS Manager in all phases of Community and Supportive Services program development and coordination. Coordinate, develop and implement programs designed to further Community and Supportive Services. Such programs may include economic and/or educational self-sufficiency opportunities; drug, crime and alcohol prevention and/or intervention; and/or youth activity programs. Conduct on-site monitoring of public housing participant’s employment, education, training, access to appropriate social services and/or home environment and troubleshoot as necessary. Work cooperatively with BHA Housing Programs staff to coordinate services and keep lines of communication open, particularly as is relates to the CSS clients status in the program. <BR><BR>Perform all tasks necessary to grant’s project coordination. Provide case management and resident services for the Hope VI CSS program. Assist each participant to complete an Individual Development Plan depending on the assessed needs of the family.  The plan will be goal-directed, have specific behavioral objectives, and be measurable and time limited. Provide one-on-one support and guidance and otherwise encourage and partner with participants in successfully meeting the goals of their plans. Ensure that necessary services are available to enable residents to participate in programs (i.e. childcare, transportation, etc.). Assist participants in seeking employment and prepare them for the interview process.  As appropriate, coordinate with employers to assist families in their job search and resolve employment-related problems. Coordinate the administration of the Hope VI CSS program. Monitor program activity by preparing surveys and reports on resident participation. Submit monthly reports to the CSS Manager and the Housing Director and semiannual reports to HUD. Continually evaluate the program’s effectiveness by meeting with participants on a minimum quarterly basis and charting progress. Perform program accounting and prepare requests for grant funds before review by the CSS Manager. Keep detailed records of all interactions with residents in compliance with BHA and HUD regulations.</font></td>
