This review may include the evaluation of prior clinical determinations, assessment of coding accuracy and interpretation of Member and Provider contracts. Also provides feedback on medication and reimbursement policies, ensuring department processes are in compliance with these policies.<BR><br /><BR><b>Key qualifications and experience:</b> <ul><li> 3+ years of experience in claims processing or medical billing, plus an additional 2 years in Payment Review, Audit or comparable experience as a medical coder or bill auditor; alternatively, 5+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital or similar setting <li> Certified by a professional organization (AAPC, AHIMA, etc.) as a coder or 2 years coding experience, or current Pharmacy Technician license <li> Proficiency with medical terminology, using desktop software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, & Access, Lotus Notes) <li> Previous experience in report preparation <li> Math aptitude and analytical ability <li> Analytic skills in developing reports and analyzing results <li> Ability to use mature judgment and work independently without direct supervision <li> Knowledge of Blue Card and ITS processes <li> High school diploma or GED</ul> <br><br> Regence employees are part of the larger Cambia family of companies, which seeks to drive innovative health solutions.
