               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Working Title: Associate Athletic Director - External Affairs<BR><BR>Job Summary/Essential Functions: This is an open recruitment; screening will begin 10/25/2012. Three days' notice will be provided prior to closure of recruitment.<BR><BR>Under the supervision of the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, this position is a part of the senior level athletic administrative staff and is responsible for athletic external affairs. This position will be responsible for fundraising, donor engagement, cultivation and staff supervision. This position is expected to raise funds annually for the Eagle Athletic Association which directly benefits all aspects of the Eastern Washington University Athletic Department. This position will also fundraise, steward and cultivate donors, lead marketing and public relations activities and manage a board of volunteers.<BR><BR>The Coordinator - Eagle Athletic Association will develop and maintain relationships with the EAA board and act as a steward for engaging and increasing athletic donors. The Coordinator will be required to attend defined athletic, alumni and donor events and is responsible for engaging participants at these events to increase volunteers and athletic funding.<BR><BR>This position requires the overall knowledge of fundraising and athletic activities and programs. It requires exceptional customer service, communications, leadership, personal relations and organization skills. It requires familiarity with and respect for ethics and human relations in order to work closely with volunteers/donors and development privacy regulations. It also requires that this position perform and represent the department in a professional manner through tasks performed with a high level of accuracy in a timely manner, meeting required deadlines, and treating all customers with the highest level of respect. This position will also be knowledgeable of NCAA compliance as it pertains to fundraising and donor relations.<BR><BR>Conditions of Employment: This position, during the course of university employment, will be involved in the receipt of, or accountabiity for, university funds or other items of value; as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults, or children under the age of 16. Successful candidate will be required to pass a background check for continued employment.<BR><BR>Rules compliance is an important responsibility of this position. Employee shall support and comply with all applicable rules and regulations of the NCAA, the Big Sky Conference, and other established bodies that govern intercollegiate athletics and the University.<BR><BR>Screening to Begin: 10-25-2012<BR><BR><BR>% Full Time: 100<BR><BR>Term of Appointment: 12<BR><BR><BR>Work Schedule: Core operating hours of Athletic Department are 8:00-5:00. Candidate will be expected to work a variable schedule to meet the needs of the position, which includes nights and weekends. Attendance at defined events is mandatory.<BR><BR>Travel required as necessary.<BR><BR>Job Requirements<BR><BR>Required Degree: Bachelor's Degree<BR><BR>Degree required by: Date of application<BR><BR>Minimum Qualifications: Five years of intercollegiate administrative experience.<BR><BR>Additionally, candidates must offer a demonstrated high degree of interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency or diversity<BR><BR>Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree<BR><BR>Move than five years of intercollegiate administrative experience.<BR><BR>Demonstrated experience supervising staff.<BR><BR>Collegiate fund raising experience.<BR><BR>Collegiate external affairs experience.<BR><BR>Working knowledge of Eastern Washington University.<BR><BR>Apply Here: http://www.Click2Apply.net/r248994</font></td>
