JOB SUMMARY:
Eastern Washington University and its Office of Institutional Research, Demography, and Assessment (OIRDA), seek applications for the position of Research Analyst 2.

Under the supervision of the director the Research Analyst 2 ("RA2") will conduct local studies for OIRDA. These duties will include the design, construction and maintenance of online and paper surveys. The RA 2 will be responsible for monitoring surveys as they are deployed across the campus. The RA 2 will collect and analyze data; compile data from existing data files to create historical and current computer data bases; download data from institutional mainframes to microcomputers; utilize application software to create reports for faculty, administrators, and outside agencies.

Additionally, the RA 2 will collaborate with other OIRDA staff on local and national studies used in the management of the university, and will conduct other research projects as assigned by the director.

Minimum Qualifications:

One year work experience as a research analyst
Strong analytic capabilities.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate.
Ability to communicate results from analysis.
Proven ability to interact with statistical software (preferably SPSS).
Additionally, candidates must offer interest, experience or ability to promote diversity and/or cultural competency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Survey development and familiarity with survey software (preferably SNAP).
Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) programming language.
Knowledge of relational database (preferably Banner).
