<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Forest Engineer<BR>Location: US-WA-Colville<BR>Other Locations:<BR>Hancock Forest Management, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hancock Natural Resource Group, invites applications for the position of Forest Engineer at its office in Colville, Washington. <BR><BR>General Directive:Responsible for road layout, construction, and maintenance for timber land located in NE Washington. This position will have will budget preparation and tracking responsibilities. Hancock Forest Management (HFM) has the objective of managing log deliveries to maintain the preferred supplier status to its log customers. All operations will be conducted in compliance with state regulations and SFI? standards.<BR><BR>Scope:<BR>* NE Washington region encompasses over 240,000 acres<BR>* Develop and maintain relationships with HFM staff and Hancock Timber Resource Group (HTRG) staff<BR>* Develop and maintain relationships with road construction contractors and regulatory agencies<BR>* Knowledgeable in areas of harvest operations, road construction and maintenance, budget preparation, and stakeholder interaction<BR>Job Dimensions:<BR>* Develop plans, budgets and oversee all operations related to forest road operations.<BR>* Ensure compliance with state regulations and SFI? standards<BR>* Assist in the development of annual property budgets and subsequent forecasts as needed<BR>* Risk Management - participate in log ticket and stumpage sale ticket security program as needed<BR>* Reports to - General Manager Northern Inland Division <BR>Specific Duties<BR>* Manage the RMAP process in Washington with special emphasis on fish passage culverts and bridge design and installation<BR>* Design, permit and administer contracts for all aspects of road construction and maintenance<BR>* Work proactively with accounting group with regards to log accounting.<BR>* Participant in the NI safety program<BR>* Responsible for implementation of SFI standards<BR>* Support other HNRG groups such as Acquisitions, Client Account Group, etc as needed<BR>* Special projects as requested or needed <BR>Requirements:<BR>* A bachelor's degree in Forest Engineering (or related field such as Forest Operations or Forest Management) or equivalent experience<BR>* Minimum of five years of experience in the industry, with jobs demonstrating experience with road construction, timber harvesting, and contract administration<BR>* Demonstrated strong organizational skills<BR>* Working knowledge and understanding of Washington forest practices rules<BR>* Knowledge computer software, with emphasis in Excel, Access, Word and ArcGIS<BR>* Must be team player, able to understand and work with others needs and with different personalities<BR>* Must be highly motivated and entrepreneurial<BR>* Must have strong oral and written communication skills<BR>Qualified candidates should apply on line or send a resume in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format, along with references and cover letter tojobs@hnrg.com.
