               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;"><b>JOB DESCRIPTION :</b> <BR>Part-time Housing Quality Standards Inspector needed to conduct a variety of housing inspection activities for all of employer's programs.  Under the direct supervision of the Housing Director, the HQS Inspector is<BR>responsible for conducting a variety of housing inspection activities for all of employer's programs. The HQS Inspector shall develop and maintain a positive working relationship with property owners/managers, tenants/program participants, peers, and management.  Performs other duties as assigned.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS :</b><BR>- High school diploma or GED<BR>- Valid Washington State driver's license to dry the company vehicle<BR>- Must have at least two years experience and/or education in the construction trades, industrial arts, housing inspection, or other housingrelated activities<BR>OR<BR>- Any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant<BR>with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job.<BR>- Ability to perform simple math functions with accuracy<BR>- Ability to function fully in a drug-free environment; history free of criminal/drug<BR>felony convictions.<BR>- Thorough knowledge of housing inspection techniques, procedures, and<BR>practices.<BR>- Knowledge of HUD Housing Quality Standards, Section 8, and other rental<BR>assistance programs.<BR>- Knowledge of Fair Housing and Washington State Landlord-Tenant Act Laws.<BR>- Safe driving practices.<BR>- Knowledge of the geographic area served to support efficient inspection travel<BR>patterns.<BR>- Ability to diagnose, analyze, interpret and apply regulations to housing<BR>conditions, and to utilize good judgment independently during inspections.<BR>- Ability to communicate solutions of housing maintenance problems to property<BR>owners and tenant/program participants.<BR>- Ability to analyze and apply housing data and to accurately apply rent formulas.<BR>- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with fellow employees,<BR>tenants/clients, and owners while under pressure and remain calm and flexible.<BR>- Ability to organize and expedite workload, including initiating work projects and<BR>working independently.<BR>- Basic computer literacy, including email and calendar use.<BR>- Ability to respect privacy and confidentiality of client files and information.<BR>- Ability to practice safe driving skills in all weather conditions<BR>- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds<BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE: </b><BR>- 16 hours per week<BR>- Schedule as needed.  Work will be performed sometime between Monday through Friday, 8am to 5:00pm.<BR><BR><b>SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:</b><BR>$12.62 - $13.64 per hour, depending upon experience <BR><BR>***Equal Opportunity Employer***<BR><BR><b>CLOSING DATE / DEADLINE:</b><BR>The recruitment period will remain active until filled, expired, or at the direction of the employer.<BR><BR><b>HOW TO APPLY/REQUEST A REFERRAL:</b><BR>For instructions on how to apply with this local employer, please contact Colville WorkSource in person at 956 S Main Street or call us at 800-451-1549 or 509-685-6158.</font></td>
