<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Position Responsibilities • Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs. Assures that safe work practices are followed in all work groups. Abides by all company work, safety, and hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.<BR>• Performs routine and/or non-routine checks and preventive maintenance tasks established by the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Team Leader Maintenance and the Maintenance Lead.<BR>• May be required to perform emergency repairs with minimal supervision.<BR>• Keeps documentation up to date.<BR>• Familiar with proper start-up and shut down of packaging equipment<BR>• Performs equipment repair, overhaul, and trouble shooting of equipment; changes and replaces belts, sprockets, bearings, chains, motors, etc.<BR>• Evaluates equipment for performance, performs adjustments, replaces parts, etc. as needed to assure uninterrupted packaging of quality potato products.<BR>• Performs structurally-sound welds and acceptable cutting, using appropriate cutting and welding equipment.<BR>• May be required to work any shift, any and all days of the week, or overtime in the accordance with production and maintenance schedules.<BR>• Reads, writes, and communicates in English by using prints, sketches, diagrams, operating instructions and technical manuals.<BR>• Maintains a neat, orderly work area.<BR>• Follows instructions given in work logs, work orders, and equipment manuals.<BR>• Supports and promotes CPS programs such as 5S and Center lining throughout the plant.<BR>• Must be able to operate a forklift and man lift in a safe manner. Requires plant certification.<BR>• Give direction and training to lower bracketed mechanics as needed.<BR>• Communicates and works with other associates and salaried personnel in a positive manner.<BR>Position Qualifications To be considered for this position a person should have the following qualifications: <BR><BR>• Set up and weld mild steel and stainless steel in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions with Arc and MIG welders.<BR>• Working knowledge of single and three phase electrical.<BR>• Ability to trouble shoot and repair machine control circuitry, programmable logic controllers and related I/O circuitry.<BR>• Basic working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.<BR>• Basic knowledge of plant operations and mechanical equipment.<BR>• Take an active role in preventive maintenance activities, mechanical repair and modification, identification, scheduling, and implementation.<BR>• Set up and adjust cutters and water knives.<BR>• Properly adjust all shakers and conveyors.<BR>• Repair all drive components on plant equipment.<BR>• Proficient at sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation.<BR>• Have complete knowledge of all equipment operation, set up, and repair within your specific area of responsibility.<BR><BR>Ability to competently use a computer and working knowledge of computer software programs.</font></td>
