This position will be responsible for the planning and design of regional jet/commercial mechanical equipment; and the oversight of the installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment. ? * Performs complex assignments often requiring development of new or improved products/processes/techniques.? * Assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests/products/equipment.? * The position requires an ability to interpret, on a broad basis, the principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty.??????? * Contributes to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard material, and difficult coordination requirements. * Coordinates project activities with other operating or engineering units to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion. * Reviews project-related documentation to ensure its accuracy. * Participates in professional organizations to maintain current knowledge of technical innovations. * Assists in determining project objectives to contribute to the development of a comprehensive project design. * Performs other related duties as required. ?Job requirements: ? Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements: * Minimum of 15 years aerospace design experience. * Experience with Aircraft systems and interior design. * Ten years experience with major reconfiguration of commercial aircraft, crew rest design, liaison and installation tooling. * In-depth knowledge of Environmental Control Systems (ECS) * Cargo compartment design experience. ? ? ?
