               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;"><b>JOB DESCRIPTION :</b><BR>Everett area grocer seeks candidate for the position of FOOD CLERK / CASHIER. <BR><BR>As the primary contact for customers, the Cashier provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. <BR><BR>Duties include:<BR>- Primarily responsible for operating computerized <BR>cash register to itemize and total customer s purchases by passing items in front of an electronic UPC code scanner, or inputting UPC information into a keyboard. <BR>- Review price sheets to note price changes in sale items. Records prices and departments, subtotals taxable items, and totals purchases on cash register. <BR>- Collect cash, check, or electronic payments from customer and makes change for transactions. <BR>- Place purchased items in bags. May weigh items, redeem food tamps, WIC checks, promotional coupons, cash checks, check ID for liquor and <BR>cigarettes, sell stamps. <BR>- May return merchandise found defective or unwanted by the customer to the appropriate location. <BR>- May trouble shoot card reader or scanner errors. <BR>- May replace paper in printers. <BR>- May deal with customer complaints or price disputes. <BR>- May answer telephone or make or answer intercom pages.<BR><BR><b>HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE: </b><BR>- Hours vary throughout day, week and weekends as scheduled.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS: </b><BR>- Food Handler's Permit<BR>- Able to pass a criminal background check<BR>- Able to pass a drug screening<BR>- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.<BR>- Able to work flexible shifts<BR><BR><b>WAGE / BENEFITS: </b><BR>- $9.05 to $14.75 per hour.<BR><BR><b>CLOSING DATE / DEADLINE: </b><BR>- Position is open until filled or closed by the employer.<BR><BR><b>HOW TO APPLY / REQUEST A REFERRAL:</b><BR>Report in person with this Job Order Number to your nearest WorkSource office.  Bring in your resume or work history showing you meet all requirements.  Applicants will be screened according to the job requirements listed above.  The employer has requested a limited number of candidates for this position.
