<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:<BR>We here at Fluke are looking for a skilled Import compliance professional. You will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of import compliance controls and procedures for all company locations. Within overall established policy, has latitude to determine own practices and procedures. Errors in judgment or failure to get results may cause significant delays, affect company image or incur loss of revenue. This position requires frequent contact with government agencies and Fluke’s management teams on regulatory matters requiring independent judgment and diplomacy.<BR><BR> Responsibilities:<BR>• Ensure the proper classification, valuation, marking, and country of origin of imported merchandise. Conduct training internally on these topics.<BR>• Ensure the proper use of duty preference programs, and conduct training for evaluating tariff preference program and free trade status of the same (e.g., for example, Chapter 98, NAFTA, and other free trade agreements).<BR>• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, including the U.S. Customs Recordkeeping Requirements (e.g., maintenance of Customs Entry and Customs Compliance records).<BR>• Keep current on regulatory changes, interpret the impact to the Company and distribute to appropriate Company personnel.<BR>• Act as a resource for researching, providing guidance, and responding to import compliance questions from various company departments and division.<BR>• Assist in the development and maintenance of the import compliance manual.<BR>• Conduct training on the company’s import policies and procedures.<BR>• Serve as a point of contact for the Customhouse broker on the following:<BR>oProper declaration of customs information and discrepancy resolution to ensure timely processing of entries;<BR>oResponse to inquiries regarding duty rates, documentation requirements, or other import issues to ensure timely clearance; and<BR>oInformation regarding classification.<BR>• Monitor the Customhouse broker to ensure timeliness of clearance, timeliness of payment of fees, accuracy of data transmitted, and to resolve entry problems. Administer the auditing of completed Customs Entry packets to ensure the proper filing of entry information, maintain a log showing the results, and initiate any corrective action.<BR>• Assist with the proper and timely filing of all post entry reconciliation including voluntary tenders, protests, or Post Entry Adjustments (PEA).<BR>• Write binding ruling requests as necessary.<BR>• Other duties as assigned and necessary within the company to ensure import compliance policies are maintained corporate wide.<BR><BR>REQUIRED SKILLS:<BR>Basic Requirements:<BR>• BS/BA degree and a minimum of 5 years import administration or equivalent combination of education and experience<BR>• U.S. Customs Broker License preferred.<BR>• Must have substantial experience with classifying (according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States) a wide variety of goods.<BR>• Extensive knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, C-TPAT and other CBP security initiatives and an in-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs valuation, classification and free trade programs.<BR>• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with technical personnel and ability to present information in a technical environment. High accuracy and attention to detail are essential requirements for this position.<BR>• Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work cross-functionally with multiple business units and drive results.<BR>• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to set and accomplish corporate objectives.<BR>• Working knowledge of ORACLE or similar complex ERP systems, MS Office and Sharepoint.<BR>• Ability to handle confidential information frequently and appropriately.<BR>• Experience with electronics a plus!</font></td>
