               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;"><b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b>   <BR><BR>A company located in Everett is looking to hire an Independent Living Specialist to work in MARYSVILLE. The role of the Independent Living Specialist is to provide direct support, instruction, and assistance necessary to improve and maintain quality of life for Adults with disabilities and Seniors living in their own homes. The Key qualification of this role is to possess and maintaining a Washington State Nursing Assistant Registered License. Some of the duties of this position include:<BR><BR>-Follow all Health and Safety, Emergency Policies and Procedures, and Infection Control Plan. Perform<BR>safety checks as required.<BR>-Document and ensure that notification protocol occurs as required, following the Reporting Guidelines.<BR>-Assist with and ensure medications and treatments are taken/given according to need, prescriptions and<BR>Nurse Delegation protocols.<BR>-Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisor and/or equipment provider immediately.<BR>-Support consumer with maintaining a safe, pleasant and clean home (inside and out).<BR>-Participate in the development, understand, and support consumer to meet the goals that are identified in<BR>their Plan of Care,<BR>-Encourage and assist consumer to participate in community activities as desired or needed.<BR>-Utilize, schedule, encourage, and assist consumer with learning and using para and public transportation,<BR>Assist and encourage consumer to maintain routine contact and positive relationships with friends, family<BR>members and guardians, neighbors and other important meaningful persons as desired by the consumer<BR>or their support network.<BR>-Assist with and encourage completion of Daily Living Skills<BR>-Frequent use of telephone, copier, computer, printer and/or fax machine.<BR>-Write reports and summaries as necessary or as requested.<BR>-Assist consumer with pet care.<BR>-Attend required meetings.<BR>-Works between Adult Supported Living and Eldercare Programs as necessary or requested.<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS: </b><BR><BR>***Obtain and maintain a Washington State Nursing Assistant Registered License.***<BR><BR>-Clean criminal record.<BR>-Ability to pass a drug screen<BR>-Weekend availability.<BR>-Experience exhibiting  mature and professional behavior along with the ability to prioritize needs of customers, problem solve, and make independent judgments.
