               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">LocationEverett, WA<BR>Security Clearance Required?No Security Clearance Requiredabout security clearance definitions<BR>Position Description<BR>An engineer with the Loads & Dynamics group will apply knowledge of advanced structural analysis and aerodynamic idealizations to predict: static and dynamic airplane loads; and in-flight aero-elastic and aero-servo-elasticity airplane stability (Flutter). Other work statement will include: derivation of design loads and aero-elastic stability requirements; acquisition and reduction of wind tunnel and CFD based air loads data; development of analytical models including the effects of unsteady aerodynamics and automatic flight control systems in determining structural responses and load distributions as required; validate analytical models by test as needed; perform static and dynamic aero-elastic analysis; conduct flutter analyses and complex calculations in aero-elasticity; derive structural operating restrictions; and plan and coordinate ground and flight testing to validate flutter and loads solutions. Investigate vibration characteristics utilizing analysis and testing to provide input to preliminary design and to solve in-service issues. Good computing skills, excellent verbal and written skills, and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment are desired. Previous experience in one or more of the following: Aircraft loads development, including: strength and durability loads criteria; Federal Aviation Regulations and related air worthiness certification; design and validation practices; ground and flight testing; wind tunnel testing, reduction of measured pressure and component load data; model development and simulation of dynamic structural response; flutter and aeroservoelasticity; static and dynamic aero-elastic analysis; analysis of static and dynamic ground loads.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>General<BR><BR><BR>[ + ] Adaptability<BR>Tries to understand changes in work-group tasks, situations, and the department as well as the logic or basis for change; occasionally seeks information about changes affecting their individual job.
