<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">LocationEverett, WA<BR>Security Clearance Required?No Security Clearance Requiredabout security clearance definitions<BR>Position Description<BR>A Noise Engineering Intern will assist in any the following tasks: Analyzing jet transports with regard to community noise, cabin noise, and emissions. Conduct research and development in structural acoustics and aero acoustics, including prediction and control of jet, turbo machinery, and airframe noise. Perform cabin noise, community noise and emissions assessments of airplanes in Preliminary Design. Support Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) 36 airplane noise certifications through the analyses of ground and flight tests. Conduct airport noise assessments. Analyze/design: jet noise suppression systems, fan duct / inlet acoustic treatments, and low-noise airframe systems. Develop airplane and fleet level emissions data and improve tools to support airport vicinity and global assessments. Support engine audits, Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) supplier combustor technology, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and competitor aircraft emissions performance.
