Provides services to employees, designated dependents, managers and company organizations, and interfaces with community health care providers, and suppliers such as Workers'' Compensation Administrators. Provides clinical evaluation and urgent care assessment, treatment and/or referral for occupational and non-occupational medical conditions. Determines fitness for duty, functional capacity and medical restrictions for employees in relation to job demands, and provides assessment and consultation on accommodation and placement issues. Performs health surveillance examinations and determines medical qualification for the occupational health examination program and international assignments.<BR><BR>Has the ability to assess existing or new medical conditions through the integration of the results of a clinical interview, medical history review, physical examination, and interpretation of laboratory tests and radiological examinations. Has the ability to determine whether employees with medical conditions are fit for duty and are safe to return to work. Has the ability to assign a working diagnosis, formulate differential diagnoses considering epidemiology, environmental and community characteristics, and synthesize collected data, clinical course and other pertinent data to a definitive diagnosis. Has advanced knowledge in the treatment of emergent and urgent care, such as: cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction (MI), stroke, major trauma, toxic exposure, major burns or other life threatening conditions. Has specialized knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of medicine and the history of, signs, symptoms, presentation, and course of occupational and non-occupational medical conditions applying proven treatments, procedures and practices.<BR><BR>Has knowledge of treatment plans and modalities for medical conditions.<BR>Understands relationships between workplace injuries, exposures (e.g., chemicals, physical agents) and disease. Has knowledge of toxicological principles including hazard identification and risk assessment. Has knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) record-keeping and Workers'' Compensation. Has the ability to provide consultation on a variety of medical issues.<BR><BR>Relevant experience as a Physician Assistant is required. Must have a current professional license in Washington State as a PA-C.
