Work closely with Systems and other Airplane Teams in a variety of roles, which can be matched with candidate experience. Examples of these tasks include: - Lead the Systems Team in coordinating technical interfaces, design requirements, overall Systems Development and project management. -Provide over-sight of continued development and maintenance of Systems master operating plan and tie into Integrated Schedule. - Lead cross functional groups to resolve technical issues and document key decisions. -Ensure that coordination occurs across the Systems team and between other airplane teams to ensure horizontal technical integration is accomplished. -Play key coordination role in bringing Trade Studies to closure. -Lead the Systems team in successfully planning and conducting key technical reviews. -Coordinate Systems successful compliance with all Concurrent Product Definition (CPD) initiatives and plans, including Gate Reviews. -Act as central Systems coordinator for implementation of new technologies. -Lead Systems in finalizing the baseline configuration and development of a customer option plan. - Identify and focal development of mitigation plans for potential design, build and validation problems. - Investigate and evaluate certification challenges of new technologies and architectures. -Manage and lead process and tools improvement teams and efforts. -Represent Airplane Systems on teams and in meetings as appropriate and needed. Skills and qualifications: The candidate should have: Working Together approach and a positive Find-A-Way attitude. -Experience in leading cross functional teams through resolution of complex issues. -Broad knowledge of airplane systems, both technical and process preferred. -Demonstrated project management skills. -Demonstrated communication, coordination, leadership, training and teaming skills. - Demonstrated ability to lead teams and foster their development and maintenance. -The ability to think out-of-the-box, be flexible and open to new ideas and concepts; speak up within group settings to ensure no key points are missed. -The ability to make presentations within the organization and to the Airplane team. -The ability to work with a variety of organizations such as project and manufacturing engineering, operations, finance, and industrial engineering.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Competencies<BR>General<BR><BR><BR>[ + ] Adaptability<BR>Understands changes in own and others'' work and situations; may be asked to explain the logic or basis for change to less experienced employees; actively seeks information about changes affecting own and fellow employees'' jobs.
