INTERESTED CANDIDATES MUST FOLLOW THE APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS AT THE SNOHOMISH COUNTY URL LISTED BELOW:  <BR>Assist in providing appropriate medical services for pre-trial and sentenced adults booked into the Snohomish County Jail, in Everett, Washington. Activities may include:<BR>• Evaluating new inmate bookings regarding health status prior to jailing; reviewing and recording after booking process for medication and treatment needs.<BR>• Evaluating medical problems and complaints of inmates; monitoring vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiratory rate and blood pressure when indicated; contacting doctors and dentists to verify medical problems, medications, treatments, and appointments; monitoring inmate illnesses and/or diseases.<BR>• Receiving medication and controlled substances and logging according to classification; writing up medication for drug dosages and medication times, maintaining security for all medications, identifying drugs brought into Jail and writing related legal reports.<BR>• Conducting physical assessments on inmates to include lab work and vital signs.<BR>• Keeping daily medical logs and establishing medical charts on inmates.<BR>• Contacting physicians’ offices, hospitals, and pharmacies in reference to inmates' medical diagnoses, medications, and treatment needs; counseling inmates regarding disease prognosis, conferring with practitioners and mental health professionals regarding medical needs and psychological evaluation of inmates.<BR>• Establishing priorities in emergency medical situations.<BR>• Making recommendations as to cell placement for inmates with physical or mental conditions.<BR>• Verifying special diet requests and referring information to ARNP or to the Nursing Supervisor.<BR>• Passing medications to inmates throughout the facility, twice on day shift, and once on swing shift.<BR>• Performing related duties as required.</font></td>
