We are currently looking for a Data Center Cabling/Hardware Technician to join our team in Quincy Washington.<BR><BR>Job Responsibilities and Duties:<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>The DC Operations IT Hardware team is responsible for network cable installations and removals, space planning, cabinet/equipment installations rack and stack, smart hands hardware break/fix support and network cabling and fiber diagnostics. The candidate will be responsible for:<BR>* Day to day delivery of all move, add change (MAC) requests including hardware installs and network cabling<BR>* Completing hardware break/fix tickets such as troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues and replacement of hardware components<BR>* Performing back-up tape operations and amber light tours<BR>* Receiving services<BR>* Inventory Management <BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Required Skills:<BR>* Knowledgeable of Data Center IT Operations<BR>* Knowledgeable of Data Center IT infrastructure<BR>* Experience with network/server and other IT hardware installation<BR>* Experience with network/server IT hardware troubleshooting and repair<BR>* Experience with network patch cable installation<BR>* Must be of physical condition to support this physically demanding position. (This is not a desk job, must be able to lift 50 lbs and spend the entire shift working on the raised floor)<BR>* Three years Data Center installation experience<BR>* Experience using change management and work order management software (preferably Remedy)<BR>Desired Skills:<BR>* Experience using change management and work order management software (preferably Remedy)<BR>* Experience with copper and fiber structured cabling installation<BR>* Server/Network training/certification (such as A ) <BR>* First-aid/CPR skills a plus<BR>* OSHA 10 certified a plus<BR>Minimum Educational Requirements:<BR>* High School Diploma <BR>* Associates degree in an engineering or information technology discipline preferred<BR>* Journeyman or apprentice in a mechanical or electrical field preferred<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR>About Dell Inc.:<BR>Want to work in an environment where each day is focused on delivering solutions that make a real difference in people?s lives?
