               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;"><B><I>DURATION:  Approximately 8 weeks (through the end of the year)</B></I><BR><BR>We need someone with 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician for a great temporary job that's expected to run through the end of the year!<BR><BR><BR><B>TO QUALIFY FOR THIS JOB, YOU <I>MUST</I> HAVE:</B><BR>    *  2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician<BR><BR>    *  Knowledge of tools, materials, methods & techniques commonly used in construction, maintenance & repair activities<BR><BR>    *  Understanding of principles of street, parks, water, storm & sewage system operation, repair & maintenance<BR><BR>    *  Familiarity with standard construction practices<BR><BR>    *  Understanding of work hazards, safety standards and procedures, and OSHA & WISHA regulations<BR><BR>    *  Flexible availability, including the ability to be called out on evenings, early mornings, and weekends with little or no notice for emergencies<BR><BR>    *  Reliable transportation & the ability to travel to different locations to perform site visit work and attend meetings<BR><BR>    *  A valid Washington State Class B driver's license<BR><BR>    *  The ability to pass a background check & drug screen<BR><BR>    *  The ability to comfortably lift up to 60 pounds<BR><BR>    *  The ability to work a physically demanding job outdoors in any weather, including standing for long periods of time, and climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling & walking over uneven surfaces as circumstances demand<BR><BR>We need someone with a great attitude, and the ability to interact with coworkers and the public in an effective, friendly manner.  You must have great communication skills and the ability to work well independently in a fast-paced environment.<BR><BR>Possession of a state flagging card is preferred!<BR><BR><BR><B>YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:</B><BR>    *  Performing maintenance & repair functions on city streets, storm systems, water systems, sewer systems, open spaces, parks, buildings & facilities<BR><BR>    *  Custodial work<BR><BR>    *  Operating hand tools, power tools, various vehicles, and a range of light to heavy equipment<BR><BR>    *  Maintaining & repairing power and automotive equipment<BR><BR>    *  Tracking needed repairs & servicing<BR><BR>    *  Performing inventories of city property and assets & keeping records accordingly<BR><BR>    *  Requesting & coordinating assistance for maintenance projects<BR><BR>    *  Landscaping tasks<BR><BR>    *  Constructing/installing new facilities & infrastructure<BR><BR>    *  Snow & ice removal, debris clean-up, and pothole repair & maintenance<BR><BR>    *  Other tasks as assigned<BR><BR><BR><B><I>To apply for this job, visit http://www.westsoundworkforce.com/job-listings/temporary-maintenance-technician/</B><BR><BR>Follow us on Twitter @wswjobs to find out about all of our new jobs as soon as we post them online!<BR><BR>West Sound Workforce is the premier staffing service on the peninsula.
