Hood Meadows Clinic<BR>Location: Oregon-Hood River<BR>Job Number:_10253<BR><BR>Mount Hood, Oregon -- Emergency Medicine physicians needed for part time (at least 10 days per ski season) work on the slopes of Mount Hood Meadows ski resort. Type B emergency department is only open during the ski season, which generally runs from about mid-November to early May. Compensation is fee for service; season ski pass included. Clinic treats common ski injuries, including orthopedic, head/neuro/spine, lacerations, abdominal/multiple trauma, and emergent medical conditions. Should be comfortable with the use of thrombolytics for AMI. Patient age ranges from 3 to 80 years. Need OR license, excellent musculoskeletal treatment, laceration repair, x-ray interpretation and critical care skills. ACLS, ATLS, PALS recommended.<BR>The mountain clinic is supported by Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in nearby Mount Hood, Oregon. The high tech community hospital has 25 beds and an active medical staff of more than 160 providers. Our excellent in-house team and a corps of visiting specialists offer a wide range of health and wellness services to Hood River and neighboring communities in the Columbia River Gorge.
