<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;"><b>JOB DESCRIPTION:</b><BR>* Use a variety of hand and power operated tools and equipment<BR>* Maintenance of buildings and grounds<BR>* Operate dump trucks, pickups, compressors, volt and ohm meter, water/chemical sampler, and all equipment and vehicles necessary to perform construction, maintenance and repair<BR>* Assist with the maintenance of the department vehicles and equipment<BR>* Perform plumbing operations<BR>* Locate, mark and/or repair breaks in water and sewer mains, review maps for valve locations, set up traffic control devices and excavate hole; replace valves and mains<BR>* Perform street maintenance <BR>* Assist with the maintenance and operations of the drinking water treatment plant<BR>* Maintain and repair reservoirs<BR>* Perform maintenance on pressure sewer systems<BR>* Assist with the maintenance and operations of wastewater treatment plant, water booster stations, sewer lift stations, reservoirs, fire hydrants, valves, pressure reducing valves, water meters, and alarm systems<BR>* Perform meter reading duties<BR>* Perform maintenance at parks and green areas<BR>* Operate computers and enter data<BR>* Occasionally supervise other personnel and/or volunteers at job sites<BR>* Respond to all public inquiries in a courteous manner<BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>* High school graduate or equivalency<BR>* Valid driver's license<BR>* Must pass pre-employment drug test<BR>* First Aid/CPR Card within 6 months<BR>* State of Washington Flagging and Traffic Control Card within 6 months<BR>* CDL Class B with air brake certification within 6 months<BR>* OIT certification in water distribution at the end of 6 month's employment<BR>* Basic plumbing and electrical skills<BR>* Must be able to perform physical functions of position - bending, stooping, crawling in confined spaces, climbing, long periods of standing/walking, reaching, crouching and lifting up to 80 pounds<BR>* Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, near or in traffic exposure to chemical irritants/strong smells, around loud noises and vibrations<BR>* Must be able to wear protective clothing and safety equipment<BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: </b><BR>* Experience in water distribution, wastewater industry, and/or various construction fields helpful<BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b> <BR>* Full time<BR>* Position starts 1/2/2013<BR><BR><b>SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:</b> <BR>* $20.16 per hour to start<BR>* Benefits available <BR><BR><b>CLOSING DATE/DEADLINE: </b><BR>* November 1, 2012 by 4PM<BR><BR><b>HOW TO APPLY/REQUEST A REFERRAL: </b> <BR>* <b>In person process: </b> Contact your nearest WorkSource Office with WA job number.<BR>* Employment Specialists are available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at WorkSource Cowlitz/Wahkiakum.<BR>* <b>Online process: </b> Email the required application materials to <u>bsucowlitz@esd.wa.gov</u>.
