Please plan accordingly when you apply. </b> <BR><BR>DRIVER / DONATION SPECIALIST, FULL-TIME (Y)<BR><BR><b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b><BR>A local charitable organization is seeking a Driver/Donation Specialist who will assist in the operation of basic thrift store functions including donation pick-up, receipt, sorting, display and processing as well as providing excellent customer service. The Driver/Donation Specialist will provide all aspects of customer assistance as well as perform driving and janitorial duties as needed. The position receives donations in accordance with agency policy, processes donations according to established procedures, displays donations per set guidelines and as instructed. In reference to customer service the position assists customers by providing tax receipts, information and purchase assistance, provides cash register and switchboard back-up as needed, represents the agency by maintaining a professional and pleasant appearance and demeanor, and follows established guidelines. The Driver will drive the company vehicle as needed to assist in donation pick-ups and deliveries and maintain current insurance coverage according to organization policy limits. The position will also perform janitorial duties according to established standards and contribute to maintaining acceptable overall appearance of store floor, production area and grounds and attend trainings and/or workshops to promote personal and professional development as assigned. <BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>*High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.<BR><BR>*Valid Washington State driver's license and required minimum liability insurance.<BR><BR>*This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis and performing other work requiring physical exertion, talking, and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirement. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time. These physical requirements are those that are normally required for the performance of the Driver/Donation Specialist. Any disabled applicant who does not meet one of more of the requirements; but who can perform the essential functions of the job, (with or without reasonable accommodations), shall be deemed to meet these requirements.<BR><BR>*Excellent written and oral communications skills.<BR><BR>*Ability to work successfully with coworkers, donors and customers.<BR><BR>*Background check.<BR> <BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR>*Two years experience in a related field such as retail, customer service, charitable organizations.<BR><BR>*21 or older for insurance purposes. <BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b><BR>Typically, 5 days/week. May be scheduled week-days and/or week-ends. schedule to be determined with supervisor.
