Please plan accordingly when you apply. </b> <BR><BR>RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE, PART-TIME (Y)<BR><BR><b>JOB DESCRIPTION</b><BR>A local women's clothing store is seeking a Retail Sales Associate. Responsibilities include meeting company sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge to the customer; recommending merchandise selections and helping to locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires. The Retail Sales Associate also performs various sales and register transactions including ringing purchases, processing of cash or credit payments and counting money. The Associate builds and maintains a solid customer following through clienteling and wardrobing, maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions; maintains pricing and visual standards.  Associates communicate effectively with customers, other Associates, and Management; stand and maneuver around sales floor and stockroom; operate register; lift and carry up to 30 pounds; hang / fold merchandise; climb, reach, push / pull, and clean store areas. <BR><BR><b>JOB REQUIREMENTS:</b><BR>*Must be 18 years or older.<BR><BR>*High School diploma or GED<BR><BR>*6 months work experience in retail or customer service positions that deal directly with customers, documented on resume and application.<BR><BR>*Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required. (Regular attendance when scheduled is essential to this position in order to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives.)<BR><BR>*3 business or professional references. <BR><BR>*Excellent customer service skills.<BR><BR>*Excellent skills to communicate effectively with customers, Associates, and Management.<BR><BR>*Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.<BR><BR>*Basic keyboarding, internet and computer skills. <BR><BR>*Ability to operate cash register; stand and maneuver around sales floor and stockroom; hang / fold merchandise; climb, reach, push / pull, and clean store areas. <BR><BR>*Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. occasionally. <BR><BR><b>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b><BR>*Experience with retail sales of women's apparel.<BR><BR><b>HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE:</b><BR>Flexible schedule to be determined with supervisor. Ability to work days, evenings, week-ends and holidays is required. Store hours are 9:30 am - 9:30 p.m. Monday - Sunday.<BR><BR><b>SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS:</b><BR>$9.04+/hour, DOE/DOQ.
