SALES FLOOR TEAM MEMBER, PART-TIME (Y) JOB DESCRIPTION A local retail store is seeking Sales Floor Team Members to provide fast, fun and friendly service. The Sales Floor Team Members will maintain a clean, great-looking store, train new team members, deliver accurate product placement, pricing and labels, learn new technology, neatly arrange items on shelves, move merchandise using proper equipment and techniques, act quickly to resolve guest concerns, cross train and work in other areas of store as needed, quickly and accurately scan and bag all items and collect payment when assigned, stock merchandise to keep shelves full and organized, practice product rotation, remove and replace expired or damaged product, properly handle temperature sensitive food items and other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: *Ability to read labels and other product information. *Able to key information on computer and PDA keyboards. *Able to scan and handle all merchandise. *Cheerful and helpful attitude toward customers and team. *Ability to learn and adapt to new technology needs. *Able to think quickly on the spot to resolve customer questions. *Able to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions. *Able to work independently. *Able to climb and descend ladders carrying merchandise. *Able to lift 40 lbs. *Able to move merchandise with appropriate equipment, (tubs,carts,flats) to and from stockroom and sales floor. Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: N/A HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE: Days, Nights, Weekends during store operating hours as scheduled with supervisor. Work hours typically will be scheduled between 7 AM and 11 PM. SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS: $9.25/hour. Merchandise discount. CLOSING DATE/DEADLINE: The recruitment period will remain active until filled, expired or at the direction of the employer.
