Performs routine General Ledger account analysis and makes adjusting entries. Researches and posts account corrections in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal account definitions. Participates in cross divisional general accounting projects. Initiates, develops, and implements process improvements. Models and acts in accordance with REI?s guiding values. Additional responsibilities may include: 1) participating in process improvement projects, 2) collaborating with retail and loss prevention and 3) completing other non-routine assignments as requested by department management.<BR><BR>Responsibilities include:<BR>? Team with Retail Operations and Treasury to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of credit card chargeback requests.<BR>? Work directly with Loss Prevention on any suspected fraudulent credit card transactions.<BR>? Review credit card transactions and postings to bank accounts and GL.<BR>? Reconcile bank accounts.<BR>? Work with business units and retail stores on credit card best practices<BR>? Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.<BR><BR><BR><BR>Qualifications: ? 2+ years accounting experience or Associate Accounting degree required.<BR>? Demonstrates basic understanding of how to apply GAAP to General Ledger accounting.<BR>? SAP experience preferred<BR>? Cash and Revenue accounting experience required<BR>? Advanced use of Excel worksheets<BR>? Consistently demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills<BR>? Ability to maintain confidentiality surrounding sensitive customer or company information </font></td>
