It?s all part of the REI mission to inspire, educate and outfit for a lifetime of outdoor adventure and stewardship.<BR><BR>As a Principal Business Analyst - Planning at REI, you will contribute to our success by ensuring business needs and benefits are understood for new initiatives and that those initiatives are prioritized accurately against the technology roadmap. You will serve as a liaison between the business and Information Technology divisions to ensure alignment of business needs and requirements. You will support quarterly to five year planning horizons by creating and maintaining roadmaps. You will evaluate new initiatives and form trusted relationships with the business units you are assigned to.<BR><BR>In some situations, you may also mentor one or more Business Analysts or Senior Business Analysts.<BR><BR>Responsibilities and Deliverables:<BR>Technology Planning Activities<BR>? Work collaboratively with IT Planning, key IT functions, Finance and project teams to understand business priorities, IT priorities, IT capacity and IT plans.<BR>? Prepare IT Portfolio analysis to identify portfolio-driven issues and opportunities such as portfolio mix, potential implications of current sequence, impact of work in the pipeline, etc.<BR>? Work independently on multiple activities as a work-group member, as a work-group leader or as an individual contributor.<BR>? Prepare analysis, options, recommendations and other materials in advance of governance meetings.<BR>? Develop metrics; monitor and report results.<BR>? Organize materials for use at governance meetings.<BR>? Communicate and post meeting results.<BR><BR>Relationship Management Activities<BR>? This role functions very independently, receiving high-level and/or strategic guidance; able to self-direct, plan and execute on planning activities<BR>? Manages business partner expectations at a senior level, resolving conflicts between projects and the rest of the portfolio. Works independently in formulating innovative ideas and solutions to more fully aligning IT with the Business units.<BR>? Forms deep trusting relationships with the business leaders for assigned divisions.<BR><BR>Business Case Development Activities<BR>? Prepare planning level business cases to support decisions for quarterly and yearly planning.<BR>? Hand off planning level business cases to executions teams and act as a liaison between these teams and the current planning function.<BR><BR>Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>? 5+ yrs experience as a Senior/Principal Business Analyst </font></td>
