This team provides in-depth, actionable, insights about our customers and their behaviors, to influence and drive Marketing and Enterprise multi-channel strategies and tactics. Must have the ability to extract data using SAS from a variety of sources and assess, interpret and analyze the data in development of relevant, actionable and influential conclusions that address specific business questions. Analytic skills must include the ability to see the big picture and the demonstration of strong business intuition. Need to be proficient in SAS and the application of data mining techniques to large data sets. Engages in quantitative analysis on many non-standard and unique business problems using computer-intensive data mining techniques (decision trees, cluster analysis, etc.) Strong communication skills and an ability to translate data and complex ideas into meaningful and actionable insights that tell a business story?. Experience in Retail or Consumer products industry a plus.<BR>Qualifications: ? 5+ years experience in database analysis, preferably with a multi-channel retailer.<BR>? Prior work experience in data mining using SAS and querying large amounts of data from data warehouses using SQL and SAS Enterprise Miner.<BR>? Excellent understanding of concepts, functionality, and advanced application of SAS programming.<BR>? Proven ability to perform in-depth data analysis and to report and present strategies and recommendations to business units.<BR>? Exceptional analytical skills.<BR>? Strong written and communication skills.<BR>? Bachelor?s degree with an emphasis in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, economics, business, or math.<BR>? Master?s degree or MBA preferred.<BR>? Ability to collaborates with others on one''s own team and across the organization.<BR>? Flexible in one''s viewpoints and positions in order to support the direction taken by others at REI.<BR>? Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.<BR>? Consolidates information from various sources including feedback from others to reach sound decisions.<BR>?
