JOB SUMMARY:
Title: DART Bus Drivers
- Will provide paid CDL training for exceptionally qualified candidates
- Candidates with current CDL and passenger endorsement preferred
Department: Transportation
Work Schedule: 20 - 40 hours per week
Location: Kent, Kirkland, Bellevue and West Seattle bases
Salary: $14.05 per hour DOE

Hopelink operates Dial-a-Ride Transit (DART) under a contract with King County Metro. DART offers variable routing in some areas within King County. It operates on a fixed schedule, but one that has more flexibility than regular Metro Transit buses.
Essential Functions:
- Provides safe, courteous and on-time transportation to customers in vans, minibuses or small buses; adheres to traffic regulations.
- Communicates and interacts with individuals of various backgrounds and abilities; communicates with dispatchers by radio and provides verbal and written reports.
- Assists and secures passengers; provides special assistance as needed, such as opening doors, operating wheel chair lift, escorting to buildings and the like.
- Communicates respectfully with people of all cultures, languages, ages, genders, gender preferences, races, physical abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and religions.
- Maintains schedules on regular or special routes; collects fares, issues transfers; provides verbal information to the public regarding routes, schedules and transfer points; determines safest and most efficient routes to specific address.
- Inspects vehicle before and after operation; cleans vehicle interior and exterior as needed; fuels and performs minor maintenance on vehicle.
- Maintains punctuality and regular attendance in order to provide dependable service to the public.
