Job Summary The Health Information Analyst reviews and analyzes the electronic medical records for completeness and accuracy following departmental and regulatory guidelines.? This position assists physicians in completing medical records and trains and assists physicians in use of electronic clinical applications for chart completion.? Supports patient care and other hospital functions ensuring dictated reports are transcribed, edited and routed correctly within the time frames defined in the Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff.? Monitor interface timeliness and accuracy of transcribed documents into the electronic health record.? Works with supervisor, physicians and transcription vendor to improve the dictation process. ? Qualifications and Requirements ? Education Background High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Must be credentialed in Health Information Management or currently enrolled in a Health Information Management credentialing program.* ? Work Experience Two years of HIM/medical records experience in an acute care hospital required. Leadership experience in a HIM/medical records department of an acute care hospital preferred. ? License or Certification Must be credentialed in Health Information Management or currently enrolled in a Health Information Management credentialing program.* *Note:?
