Performs data entry related to prescription refills, may call in test/lab orders following EHPC Lab/Test Results protocol, and provides test and lab results to patients following EHPC Lab/Test Results protocol. Conducts follow up calls for the providers related to medication adjustments or medication changes; follow-up appointment scheduling related to specific care needs, provides patient specific information to specialist, providers, pharmacies, and associated healthcare services following HIPAA standards and EHPC protocol.<BR>License, Certification, Education or Experience:<BR>REQUIRED for the position: -High School graduate or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. -Graduation from an AAMA Medical Assistant Program. -Computer keyboard skills. -Must have good interpersonal and listening skills. -Ability to exercise good organizational and time management skills. -Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. -Must be proficient with medical terminology. -Certified or able to be certified in categories A, C, and E as a Health Care Assistant in Washington State within 6 months from date of hire. -Healthcare Provider CPR certification. -Current national certification Medical Assistant certification or registration through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) required. </font></td>
