Greets and prepares patients for exam. Takes patients history and vitals. Assists provider with exam/surgical procedures and diagnostic testing. Performs tests, administer injections and medications, as per provider instruction. Performs x-rays (clinics with x-ray services). Cleans, organizes, and stocks exam rooms. Prepares instruments for sterilization and sterilizes instruments whenever necessary. Answers and handles phone calls, schedules appointments, calls in prescriptions. Performs related clerical duties including pulling charts, filing reports. Inputs and retrieves data in the electronic medical record system. ? Qualifications and Requirements Education Background High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program.<BR>Work Experience One year of MA experience in a clinic setting preferred. Computer keyboard skills preferred.<BR>License or Certification National certification (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assitant (AAMA) within one-year from date of hire required. Certified or able to be certified in categories A, C, and E as a Health Care Assistant. Become certified as a Health Care Assistant in above categories within 6 months from date of hire. Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification Registered or able to be registered as a x-ray technician (clinics with x-ray services).<BR>Work Schedule: Mondays 8am-5pm, Tuesdays 11am-6:30pm, Wednesdays 8am-7pm, Thursdays 1pm-4:30pm and Fridays 7:30am-3pm.
