<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of 8 years experience administering AIX in an enterprise environment * Advance knowledge of AIX including installation, administration and troubleshooting * Thorough understanding of TCP/IP stack * Understanding of TCP/IP Networking and troubleshooting * In-depth knowledge of SAN and devices present to the OS * Administration of DNS, hosts file, NTP, NFS, & SSH * Experience supporting standard UNIX services (BIND, Sendmail, NFS, FTP, SSH, DNS, Syslog) * Able to write scripts using bash, ksh & Perl and other common AIX utilities * Strong understanding of virtualization using Advanced Power Virtualization * Experience with LDAP and Kerberos * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment * Clustering, replication, and other high-availability technologies * Strong shell scripting skill for task automation * Extensive knowledge of IBM AIX to include installations, upgrades, and application of patches * System performance tuning and performance troubleshooting * Thorough understanding of JFS and JFS2 file systems and logical volume management * Ability to write shell scripts to automate tasks. Perl scripting is a plus * AIX pSeries configuration and maintenance * HMC command line * Tivoli Storage Manager Server and Client configuration, including TDP for Databases * Knowledge of IBM SAN best practices, including configuring RAID arrays and custom zoning * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Experienced with AIX application support: DB2, WebSphere, HTTP Server, LDAP * Server hardening procedures a plus DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position is responsible for designing, installing and maintaining AIX systems in the overall the IT infrastructure. The AIX Administrator will help identify and resolve system and end user issues and take part in maintaining a highly available environment with excellent uptime.
