Develops internal and external business marketing relationships with branch managers, personal bankers, realtors, contractors, and others to generate leads and referrals.<BR><BR>Essential Duties:<BR>? Responsible for managing loan pipeline to ensure balanced mix of loans in various stages of process, from origination to close. Pursue sales to ensure continuous stream of loans.<BR>? Perform internal and external marketing and business development activities to identify potential customers for mortgage lending product sales.<BR>? Responsible for originating residential loans. Gather and analyze appropriate information to determine customer?s financial position and make recommendations for appropriate mortgage products.<BR>? Analyze applications and use judgment and discretion to recommend approvals based on quality loan applications which meet bank standards.  Partner with Lending Production/Loan Administration Specialists to ensure documents are completed in a timely and accurate manner.<BR>? Responsible for providing information to prospective customers regarding lending services, policies and practices. Discuss loan options, rates, terms, and collateral requirements and use sales skills to gain mortgage product sales commitments.<BR>? Prepare required disclosures based on the selected loan program and deliver to the customer. Ensure compliance with bank procedures, all new and existing Federal and State lending regulations, and audit requirements.<BR>? Responsible for notifying applicants of loan decisions. Process loan credit denials and withdrawals in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Approve closing statements and explain amounts and charges to the appropriate parties.<BR>? Maintain knowledge of the loan origination system, automated underwriting engines, credit reporting systems, current loan program options and guideline changes.<BR><BR>Education:<BR>High School Diploma or GED required.<BR><BR>Skills and Knowledge:<BR>3 - 5 years of mortgage loan sales and origination experience required. Additional experience in banking, financial services, or related industry preferred.<BR><BR>? Experience with loan processing and closing preferred.<BR>? Ability to develop business relationships to promote referrals and sales of loan products. Ability to make sales by relating appropriate mortgage product information to customers.<BR>? Possess excellent analytical skills and ability to independently exercise judgment and discretion.<BR>? Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.<BR>? Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software (Word and Excel preferred).<BR>?
