This position reports to the Social Work Program Administrator and will advise and recruit for all Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate students at UW Tacoma, as well as manage and oversee all admission functions for the undergraduate and graduate programs within Social Work. Presently, the Social Work Program serves approximately 400 students including 140 MSW students with 14 full-time faculty, various part-time faculty and three full-time staff. Advisement will include the current and prospective graduate student populations for the highly competitive Master of Social Work degree. Additionally, this position will be involved in researching and implementing policy recommendations for the Social Work Program with a special emphasis on program development within the criminal justice (CJ) major. This individual will work in partnership with administrative staff and faculty team to develop and coordinate successful recruitment activities, manage annual admissions cycle, develop marketing and program materials (web & print), and provide professional academic advising to current and prospective MSW students. This position is intended to focus on the success of graduate education and will also work closely with campus and program staff to represent all programs offered by the Social Work Program.<BR><BR>Specific responsibilities include:<BR><BR>Graduate Advising and Recruitment<BR>? Provide admissions advising and guidance for prospective MSW inquiries.<BR>? Recruit students for the MSW program by arranging on and off campus recruiting events.<BR>? Establish, implement and evaluate marketing plan for MSW and CJ programs including international student outreach.<BR>? Update marketing and student program materials (web and print), admissions related information, and policies and procedures accordingly.<BR>? Provide academic program advising to current MSW students; monitor and certify student progress for Graduate School.<BR>?
