Learn more at www.multicarejobs.org<BR><BR>Position Summary:<BR>The Medical Staff Services Manager is responsible for the administration and medico-legal aspects of the medical staff organization and serves as an essential link between senior management, the medical staff and the governing board to promote and enhance good communications and a positive working relationship. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with the accrediting and regulatory agencies, (i.e. JCAHO, NCQA, CMS, WA State) in regards to credentialing while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statutes and laws. This position directly supervises departmental staff. This position is responsible for managing the credentialing process of all physicians and health care affiliates for privileges with MultiCare Health System hospitals, MultiCare Medical Group and Managed Care, and for coordinating and facilitating activities and special projects for the Medical Staff Organization, under the authority of the President of Medical Staff and the MHS Medical Officer. This position is also responsible for performing executive secretarial services and the day-to-day business of the medical staff. Work situations are varied and involve highly confidential information and require a professional demeanor, organizational skills, independence and attention to detail. Internal contacts include staff and management of Medical Affairs, Administration, Legal Services, Governing Board Professional Activities Committee and patient care staff/management throughout MultiCare. External contacts include providers on the medical and allied health staffs of MultiCare, physician office staff, hospitals/medical centers, Medical Quality Assurance Commission, National Practitioner Data Bank, American Medical Association, and insurance companies.<BR><BR>Minimum Requirements:<BR>Five years experience in Medical Staff services or related medical staff setting. Three years experience in supervision.<BR><BR>Education/Licenses/Certifications:<BR>RHIT or college course work preferred. Certified as Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist by the National Association of Medical Staff Services.
