               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Marketing Communications Specialist, Marketing Dept., 1.0FTE, Day Shift - FSS (20548)<BR>Location: WA-Tacoma-Franciscan Health System<BR>Job Number:_1200021019<BR>Job Summary:<BR><BR>This job is responsible for performing general marketing and marketing communications work under the direction of the assigned Marketing Manager, with considerable emphasis promoting and building a positive image for the Franciscan Health System (FHS). In addition, an incumbent may be specifically focused on: 1) coordinating the organization&#39;s presence/involvement in a wide array of special events (e.g. health education forms, open houses, health fairs, luncheons, etc) or 2) the production and ongoing review/maintenance/evaluation of written content for the FHS web site. Work also involves writing and editing general marketing/communications/promotional materials, including consulting with internal departments to research articles, gather pertinent information and to recommend approaches/best practices for communicating information that creates an engaged/informed work force and promotes organizational initiatives. An incumbent also works with external vendors engaged to produce marketing/educational/promotional materials, and to coordinate event staging.<BR><BR><BR>Work requires knowledge of general marketing/communication and event coordination principles and practices, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. This position is exposed to confidential information, and entails frequent contact with internal customers, event committees, vendors, the public and other staff in order to support organizational objectives. <BR><BR>Work may require attendance at evening and/or weekend events.<BR><BR>Essential Duties:<BR>* Plans, researches, writes, edits and coordinates the production of general marketing materials/collateral (e.g. brochures, fact sheets, newsletters and related documents) as assigned based on established need/concept; participates, in conjunction with manager, in planning and design/production activities; obtains, analyzes and selects pertinent information based on audience, medium and overall objectives; prepares and presents draft materials and obtains approval of design and copy; verifies the accuracy of information; ensures that approved materials are produced in a timely and efficient manner, meet the needs of the customer and are consistent with corporate identify standards and approved budget.<BR>* Oversees the work of internal and external designers, writers, photographers, direct mail houses, etc. to support publications and other internal communications efforts; assembles bid packets and solicits bids from various vendors for services as necessary; identifies issues and escalates to management staff as appropriate.<BR>* Writes and coordinates production of promotional messages placed on &quot;on-hold&quot; systems at FHS hospitals; ensures content is timely and accurate; writes content for the FHS Website and works with the Web Administrator to ensure timel                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         </font></td>
